Five Prompts Worth Saving To Your Notes App Today
Most people rewrite the same prompt from scratch every time. These five cover about 80% of everyday work — copy them once and stop starting from a blank box.
1. The summariser. "Summarise the text below for a busy manager. Give me three bullet points on what it says, and one on what it means for us. Flag anything you're uncertain about."
2. The tone-matcher. "Here are three emails I wrote. Study the tone, then draft a reply to the message below in the same voice."
3. The critic. "Argue against this plan. Give me the three strongest objections a sceptical colleague would raise."
4. The explainer. "Explain this to someone smart who has never worked in my industry. No jargon. Use one analogy."
5. The checker. "List every factual claim in your last answer, and mark each one as verified, uncertain, or something you inferred."
That last one is the important one. Ask for it every time you plan to act on the answer.

The 'critic' prompt is the one I didn't know I needed. Used it on a proposal this morning and it found two holes my manager would have found this afternoon.

Saved. Any chance of a version of these tuned for research writing rather than business?
