Worth the subscription

Transcription and meeting notes. The clearest return of anything on this list. If you sit in more than five meetings a week, it pays for itself in the first fortnight.

Writing assistance inside your existing tools. Not a separate chatbot — the one embedded where you already write. Adoption is the whole game, and a separate tab loses.

Worth trialling, not committing

Research assistants. Excellent for finding related work, still unreliable for summarising conclusions accurately. Verify anything you cite.

Image and video generation. Rapidly improving, but check your organisation's disclosure obligations before anything customer-facing goes out.

Not yet

Autonomous agents that act on your behalf. The demos are compelling. The failure modes in production are not yet the kind you want to discover on a client account.
